Resumen
Audiovisual resources enhance fieldwork by serving as tools in research. However, their potential as a language and method for exploring social realities is often constrained by « hard disciplines, » diminishing their epistemological contribution to alternative scientific approaches. Visual anthropology, particularly audiovisual ethnography, reveals that fiction is an effective medium for interpreting societies’ symbolic worlds, fostering multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary knowledge. Evaluating the active agent (students) through discourse—both as a product and as a medium of action and meaning—becomes crucial for the technical, symbolic, and political construction of the audiovisual image.
